This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who can lead corporate tax compliance, planning, and strategy, while partnering with leadership to optimize the organization’s tax position.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance processes
- Prepare and review corporate income tax returns and related filings
- Lead tax planning and strategy initiatives to minimize tax exposure
- Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance
- Oversee tax provisions and support financial statement reporting (ASC 740)
- Partner with finance and accounting teams on tax-related matters
- Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
- Support audits and respond to tax notices or inquiries
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and tax savings
- Mentor and develop junior tax staff or team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA strongly preferred (or MST a plus)
- 6 years of corporate tax or public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations
- Experience with tax provision work (ASC 740 preferred)
- Background in public accounting or corporate tax department
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
