We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting leader with a strong background in SEC reporting and technical accounting, preferably coming from public accounting. The Financial Reporting Manager will oversee external reporting, ensure compliance, and support high-level financial transparency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other disclosures)
- Ensure financial statements and disclosures comply with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes
- Research and document technical accounting issues and new accounting standards
- Coordinate closely with external auditors and manage audit processes
- Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance)
- Partner with FP&A, accounting, and executive leadership on reporting and analysis
- Review complex transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment
- Mentor and develop accounting and reporting staff
- Drive improvements in reporting processes, timelines, and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Active CPA required
- 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting
- Prior public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with SEC reporting and filings
- Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting guidance
- Experience with SOX/internal controls
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
