The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading the sales, marketing and business development team to ensure a high win rate on new projects and strong financial performance.
Key responsibilities:
Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to increase market share within targeted sectors and align with company growth goals
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate, manage and grow long-term relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and community leaders.
Market Research: Monitor trends, construction activity, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and to adjust strategy as necessary.
Community Engagement: Represent company at community events, trade shows, and civic organizations.
Sales Pipeline Management: Manage CRM systems and reporting tools to track leads, proposals, and win rate. Provide forecasting and key performance metrics to management team.
Collaboration: Work with pre-construction, estimating and construction teams to meet client expectations and help resource planning.
Collaborate with Brand Manager & Proposal Writer and Business Development Manager to execute Sales, Marketing and business development strategies.
Reports To: President of RAI
Educational and experience requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of training/ experience
- Relevant experience in a construction or sales executive role
- Broad knowledge of procurement procedures, business contracts and legal documentation
- Proven track record of closing clients with high client satisfaction
- Above average written and oral communication skills to interact with customers and internal team
- Active participation with local business or non-profit groups
- Proven team leadership and relationship management skills
- Deep understanding of local market including local economic drivers
