Estimator

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Lead Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and trade partners to deliver accurate cost estimates and support the preconstruction process. You will play a critical role in job walks, scope reviews, and proposal development, contributing directly to the success of each project from conception through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documents to create detailed cost breakdowns

• Perform quantity takeoffs and estimate costs for labor, materials, and equipment

• Develop conceptual and schematic budgets; refine estimates through design development

• Solicit competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers

• Conduct pre-bid site walks and assess conditions that impact cost

• Participate in value engineering to propose cost-effective alternatives

• Lead bid reviews and scope comparisons to ensure alignment with project goals

• Maintain estimate records, pricing databases, and historical cost information

• Attend internal preconstruction strategy sessions and client-facing meetings

• Contribute to the preparation of GMPs and proposal documents

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in estimating, project engineering, or construction management

• Proven experience with commercial interiors, tenant improvements, or shell building projects

• In-depth understanding of construction materials, systems, and methods

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

• Proficient with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, and ProEst

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite

• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills

• Must possess a valid California driver’s license

Preferred Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
