Job Description
This role is responsible for supporting field-based production and lease operations with a strong emphasis on safety, operational efficiency, and equipment integrity. The position involves working in dynamic outdoor environments, often in remote locations, performing hands-on technical tasks related to well operations, production systems, and downhole equipment. The individual will collaborate with field personnel and technical teams to ensure wells and associated facilities operate within established parameters while maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to all safety standards, including HSE policies, PCE testing requirements, and safe practices in H2S environments
- Perform well control-related activities and maintain required certifications
- Supervise and coordinate on-site crew activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with production technicians, pumpers, foremen, and engineers to support daily field operations
- Monitor and interpret wellhead pressures, tension/weight measurements, and other operational indicators
- Review and follow operational procedures, ensuring compliance and consistency in execution
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of operations, inspections, and field data
- Support operations involving battery systems and understand facility flow paths for production processes
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of downhole tools and well equipment
- Perform tasks related to slickline operations, including handling and deploying downhole components
- Install and service gas lift valves, bumper springs, and plunger assemblies as required
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and operated according to standards
- Travel to remote locations and work in varying environmental and weather conditions
- Maintain a clean driving record and operate vehicles safely when traveling between sites
- 2–5 years of slickline field experience with strong knowledge of downhole tools and well interventions
- Experience working with gas lift systems, including installation and servicing of valves and related components
- Familiarity with bumper springs, plunger lift systems, and associated downhole assemblies
- Strong understanding of production facility operations, including basic battery systems and flow paths
- Knowledge of wellhead operations, pressure control, and monitoring techniques
- Ability to supervise crews and coordinate multi-person field activities
- Proficiency in reviewing and following technical procedures and operational guidelines
- Strong attention to detail with accurate recordkeeping and documentation skills
- Ability to work in H2S environments and comply with all related safety protocols
- Capable of passing and maintaining well control certifications
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual field tasks
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and traveling to remote locations
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards
