Job Description

The Production & Materials Coordinator is responsible for analyzing drilling, completion, and production schedules within the oil and gas industry to ensure the efficient flow of materials, resources, and work activities. This role coordinates across departments to align production timelines, manage material demand, and minimize delays. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt schedules based on operational changes, resource availability, and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drilling, completion, and production schedules to support operational efficiency
• Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, equipment, and work between departments
• Review and approve production schedules, work orders, staffing plans, and related documentation
• Monitor workflows to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
• Identify material and personnel requirements and prioritize accordingly
• Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to assess progress and implement changes
• Adjust schedules in response to design changes, labor shortages, material delays, or operational disruptions
• Distribute production schedules and work orders to relevant departments
• Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and customers to align production and shipping activities
• Resolve delays, discrepancies, and operational issues to maintain workflow continuity
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to production and materials
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

Required Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 10 years of related experience
• At least 5 years of experience in oil and gas transportation, production coordination, or related field
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of production scheduling, material planning, and logistics coordination
• Ability to interpret demand signals and align transportation and production requirements
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping, transportation, and production
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Ability to analyze costs related to labor, materials, and manufacturing
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Familiarity with oil and gas operations including drilling, completions, and production workflows

Job Details

Pay: $662.40/per day

Location: Midland, TX

Schedule: 21/21 Rotation – In office M-Th from 7-4. On call after hours
