Job Description:
The Facilities Engineer evaluates and oversees discipline engineering work performed internally and by contractors to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. This role facilitates effective execution of engineering and design routines while maintaining accurate and timely communication across teams. The position serves as an Area Engineer for a specific plant area, providing operations support for pressure equipment, piping, static and rotating equipment, tanks, and plant modifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical ability combined with excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Area Engineer for operations for a specific plant area
- Work in a team with other Facilities Engineers, Site Contact & Lead Engineers to support assigned operations area and gain knowledge/exposure to other areas of plant
- Conduct Monthly Facilities Surveillance of area-driven KPIs
- Provide operations support for changes, repairs, and alterations of all plant pressure equipment (including piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, tanks, etc.)
- Provide shutdown engineering support
- Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by contractors and sub-contractors
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate communication among the team and other functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
- Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
Role Details:
Location: Midland, Texas with weekly travel to the Delaware Basin
Schedule: M-F, 40 hrs, OT approved up 45 hours, anything over requires approval
Pay: $80/ Hr
