Job Summary:
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of custom cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom design, cabinet materials, hardware, and 3D design software. This role requires someone who can manage clients from initial consultation to final design approval, while also supporting the sales team and coordinating with internal departments.
Position Title: Sales Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Union City, CA
Work Schedule:
Monday to Sunday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (5 days a week)
Occasional overtime may be required depending on business needs.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with QuickBook Online
- Experience in custom cabinets, kitchen and bath design, home improvement, interior design, or related industry is required.
- Sales management or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cabinet materials, hardware, finishes, cabinet structure, and custom production processes.
- Proficiency in Coohom, Kujiale, Sanweijia, or similar 3D design software is required.
- Ability to read, review, and create cabinet design drawings.
- Strong sales, communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify design or measurement issues before production.
- Ability to stay calm, patient, and professional when handling customer concerns or complaints.
- Honest, responsible, and willing to ask questions when unfamiliar with product or technical details.
- Bilingual English and Mandarin is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Management
- Meet with customers independently to understand their needs, budget, design preferences, and project requirements.
- Provide professional product recommendations and customized cabinet solutions to help close sales.
- Prepare accurate quotes in a timely manner and follow up with customers to move projects forward.
- Complete order signings and ensure deposits, progress payments, and final payments are collected according to company policy.
- Handle important client communications and resolve customer concerns or escalated issues professionally.
- Maintain a friendly, patient, and professional attitude with all customers at all times.
Custom Design & Product Knowledge
- Create 3D renderings, floor plans, and elevation drawings using Coohom, Kujiale, Sanweijia, or similar design software.
- Understand European-style cabinet products, including cabinet materials, door styles, finishes, colors, hardware, accessories, custom processes, and size limitations.
- Review design drawings carefully to identify potential measurement issues, structural problems, production limitations, or installation concerns.
- Ensure all designs follow kitchen and bathroom ergonomic standards and can be properly produced and installed.
- Revise designs based on customer feedback until final approval is received.
Drawing Approval & Order Handoff
- Take responsibility for the accuracy of final drawings, dimensions, cabinet specifications, and hardware selections.
- Obtain the customer’s formal approval and signature on final design drawings and hardware specification lists before production.
- Prepare complete and clear order information for the Detailer, including drawings, measurements, cabinet specifications, hardware details, and special production requirements.
- Communicate with the Detailer to answer design, measurement, or specification questions and help prevent production errors.
Team Management & Coordination
- Train and support sales team members in product knowledge, customer communication, quoting, negotiation, and design software skills.
- Coordinate with the installation/service team when customers require on-site measurements.
- Track measurement tasks and ensure accurate site information is received and updated in the design/order documents.
- Work closely with sales, design, detailers, production, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and professional. After showing samples such as door panels, hardware, or color cards, return them to their proper location immediately.
Compensation:
- Pay: Base pay commission performance bonus
- Compensation will be discussed based on experience and qualifications.
