Warehouse Associate (1st Shift)

We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate in Kerns Street San Diego CA 92154with $22.14/hr pay for a 2-month contract, temp to permanent opportunity. In this role, you will play a vital part in the moving, arranging, lifting, and loading of storage boxes, bins, and totes. This position requires physical agility as you will frequently kneel, squat, reach, bend forward, and handle items ranging from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs. OT and weekend shift depending on the workload)Roles and Requirements:Process orders and handle items such as files, books, binders, and backup tapes. The work is physically demanding, involving manual lifting, carrying, and moving of boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting. You should be capable of independently lifting and carrying boxes ranging from 10-100 lbs regularly. Operating hand trucks and pallet jacks on varying surfaces is also a key aspect of the role.Essential Functions:Perform tasks like walking, standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, and bending for extended periods.Independently handle gripping, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying boxes, including navigating inclines, stairs, and changes in surface/elevationRead and write in English proficientlyLift and move boxes, process orders, and use a proprietary computer system for trackingOperate handheld scanners and maintain balance on laddersLift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs. for prolonged periodsExpertly load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and various material handling aidsLoad and shrink-wrap pallets on ground level or carts, and manually load boxes onto pallets and trucksRightStone is a strategic partner that works with our clients to place the highest caliber of talent for a wide range of industries and skill sets.
