What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Operator (1st Shift) position at RightStone?
We are seeking a Warehouse Operator in Rayne, Louisiana for a 12-month contract with a pay rate of $17.90/hr and the potential to transition to a permanent role. This position involves handling and managing chemical products and containers in a fast-paced industrial environment, including moving chemicals and containers with a forklift, staging and identifying chemical products throughout inventory, blending materials according to batch processes, and ensuring strict compliance with all safety and quality standards. Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean working area is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to safely move, load, and unload chemical containers and freight.
- Stage, label, and accurately identify chemical products within inventory.
- Follow blending procedures and execute process batch instructions.
- Adhere to all safety and quality metrics at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
Skills, Qualifications & Work Environment
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
- Minimum of 6 months related warehouse or industrial experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and correspondence.
- Basic written communication and math skills.
- Basic PC skills for documentation and inventory tracking.
- Fast-paced, noisy environment with continuous activity.
- Regular lifting/moving up to 20 lbs; frequent lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
