RIGHTSTONE IS HIRING! We’re looking for a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Safety Valve Assembler to join our team in Pasadena, TX with $25/hr pay for a 1 year contract (temp to perm opportunity). In this role, you’ll repair, assemble, and test safety relief valves to ensure they meet industry and quality standards. Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Repair safety relief valves according to National Board VR Code standards
- Test safety valves using air, water, and steam
- Assemble components using assembly drawings and bill of materials
- Perform functional testing and quality checks on completed assemblies
- Read and interpret manufacturer drawings and spring charts
- Use measuring tools like dial calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions
- Perform machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discs
- Complete valve documentation and testing records
- Follow API, ASME, and National Board testing standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of safety valve assembly experience preferred
- Experience using dial calipers and micrometers
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow specifications
- Experience with Consolidated products is a plus
- Understanding of steam boiler operation and testing is helpful
