Position Overview

Plan, coordinate, manage and close sales in assigned Mexico & Latin America territories. Establish and drive valve initiatives. Develop key areas and markets, cultivate new business relationships and secure orders from new and existing client base. Develop, analyze and present territory forecasts and action plans utilizing market analyses to achieve bookings and sales goals.


Essential Job Functions

  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with existing clients base to secure new orders
  • Prospect, qualify and build new client relationships in key areas and markets to drive valve initiatives and generate sales within assigned territories
  • Maintain sound business relationships by visiting new and existing customers on a regular basis
  • Review customer inquiries and collaborate with internal partners to determine appropriate product selection, including creation of order notations related to exceptions and deviations
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales team to prepare detailed and complete quotation bid packages based on project specifications and customer requirements within deadline parameters and assist with language translations and technical questions
  • Respond to requests from customers for information, including written clarification on quotations and purchase order requirements
  • Prepare and facilitate presentations related to Neway products, pricing, services, and processes
  • Develop, analyze and present territory forecasts and action plans utilizing market analyses to achieve bookings and sales goals
  • Prepare business development and sales update reports, including customer visit action items and outcomes, status of large purchase orders, and critical industry news and trends in assigned territories
  • Collaborate internally on quality and/or engineering specifications related to customer inquiries to ensure conformance standards and customer requirements
  • Abide by all corporate and country specific policies and ethical standards related to customer entertainment expenses
  • Assist with company operations and sales initiatives such as product presentations, trade show participation, and product training
  • Remain knowledgeable and current on company, industry, and country changes and developments
  • Provide monthly business development report to superior and record business activities.


Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably within a general business, marketing or technical related discipline such as Engineering
  • 10-20 years prior experience in Flow Control Equipment Sales, valve sales, or similar technical sales experience
  • Prior experience with domestic and international overnight travel


Other Skills/Abilities Requirements

  • Fluency in English as well as Spanish language is required BOTH at oral and written
  • Multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to engage and work effectively within multiple customer levels including engineering, production, operations, procurement, and maintenance
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Self-management skills, including initiative and accountability, organization, and detail and process orientation
  • Above average facilitation, presentation and negotiating skills
  • Analytical ability to learn concepts, identify core issues, and generate solutions quickly
  • Respectful and courteous interpersonal and customer facing service skills
  • Above average oral and written communications skills
  • Possess the ability to work well independently, and sometimes remotely, with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Schedule and travel flexibility to meet with domestic and international customers outside of normal office hours
  • Requires at least 50% travel
  • Must have a current passport, be eligible to work in the US, have personal transportation and a current, valid driver’s license
