What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at RightStone?
We are hiring a Maintenance Technician for a 2-month contract opportunity in Santa Fe Springs 90670 paying $22/hour, with the potential to transition into a warehouse role based on performance. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing conveyor systems and other facility equipment. The ideal candidate will have maintenance experience, forklift experience, and reliable transportation to travel between Santa Fe Springs and Commerce locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair conveyor systems and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Use hand and power tools to complete repairs
- Support general building maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, and painting
- Operate forklifts and move pallets as needed
- Install and maintain equipment and machinery
- Travel between Santa Fe Springs and Commerce work sites as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of maintenance or building maintenance experience
- Forklift experience required
- Reliable transportation required
- Comfortable working around machinery, in high places, and in extreme heat
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Maintenance certification or related technical training
- Experience with conveyor systems or warehouse equipment
Work Environment & Schedule
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
- Work locations include Santa Fe Springs and Commerce (approximately 21 miles apart)
- Associates will use personal vehicles between locations
- Warehouse and industrial work environment
- May work up to 25 feet in the air on a scissor lift
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat
