What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Bench Technician position at RightStone?
RIGHTSTONE IS HIRING! We’re looking for a Bench Technician to join our warehouse team in Chicago, IL with $18/hr pay for a 1 year contract (potential temp to perm opportunity). This isn't a desk job where you're stuck answering phones—you’ll be hands-on with a high volume of hardware every day. Your mission is to test, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of tech (laptops, desktops, and more) to get them back in peak working condition. If you have the required skills, APPLY NOW!
Schedule: 6:15AM - 2:30PM
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair computers, laptops, and other electronic devices
- Install or remove components like RAM
- Run diagnostics, updates, and system checks (including BIOS navigation)
- Keep track of inventory, parts, and completed units
- Document repairs and maintain quality control standards
- Support the team with other tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic understanding of computer components (hands-on experience is a plus, but not required)
- Ability to follow instructions and stay organized
- Problem-solver mindset with attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience repairing computers or electronics
- Familiarity with all-in-one computers
- Knowledge of sourcing electronic parts
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs
- Comfortable working at a bench/desk for extended periods
