Trade Operations Analyst Responsibilities And Duties

• Oversee daily trading operations, ensuring smooth execution and timely resolution of issues.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve trade breaks in collaboration with internal teams and external counterparties including prime brokers, executing brokers, and FCMs.
• Automate reconciliation processes to streamline trade verification and reporting.
• Analyze trade performance, fees, and charges to provide actionable insights for portfolio optimization.
• Collaborate across teams to implement operational improvements and support strategic initiatives.
  
  

Trade Operations Analyst Qualifications And Skills

• 2–5 years of experience in financial services, preferably in equity trading operations.
• Hands-on experience with daily and monthly trade reconciliations and back-office processes.
• Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of Git, Linux command line tools, and DevOps automation preferred.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to think beyond core expertise.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, learn deeply, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
