Software Developer

Our client is seeking an experienced Software Developer with a strong background in Java to join their front office team. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with traders and other stakeholders. This is a hybrid position based in Fairfield County, CT.

Software Developer (Java) Responsibilities And Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain front office applications used by traders
• Enhance existing tools and implement new functionality for pricing and trading workflows
• Collaborate with traders and front office teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Work with Python and SQL to support data analysis and application development
• Assist with integration and occasional development in C# as needed
• Ensure software is robust, maintainable, and meets performance standards
  
  

Software Developer (Java) Qualifications And Skills

• Strong experience with Java development, particularly in a financial services environment
• Proficiency with Python and SQL
• Knowledge of C# is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with traders and front office personnel
• Experience with front office applications, including pricing tools and spreadsheets
