Summer Adventure Instructors - External

Position Summary: Ridgewood Community School is accepting applications for instructors for Summer Adventure 2025. To join us again this year, please

respond and let us know what classes you would like to offer. We are also looking for exciting ideas for NEW programming for students in grades prekK-5.

Although we are accepting applications for all grade levels, we are especiallyinterested in new programs for grades 3-5. If you are a new instructor, | would

be happy to email you last year's brochure so you can see what classes were previously offered.

Program Schedule

• The Summer Adventure program runs three, two-week sessions from 8:30 am-3:00 pm.
• Courses are individually scheduled according to instructor's availability and program needs.
• Courses run 1.5 hours each day.
• Instructors are paid for 2 hours per class, per day.
• Instructors are expected to be present on all days during the session. If you have a vacation or PD hours planned during a session, please do not apply for that particular session.
  
  

Salary:

• Instructor with standard NJ teaching certificate: $40/hr
• Instructor without teaching certificate but experienced in a specialized area: $30/hr
• Instructor without teaching certificate or related experience: $20/hr
  
  

Other Requirements:

• Session |: June 29-July 3
• Session Il: July 7-18
• Session Ill: July 21-August 1
• Previous experience in outdoor education or adventure leadership
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
• Commitment to safety and risk management practices
