- Must have a K-6 New Jersey teaching certification, New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification
- Must be experienced in the instruction of students with autism and other cognitive disabilities, as well as complex learning needs in a self-contained or ABA-based setting
- Demonstrates ability to plan and implement discrete trial teaching
- Demonstrates ability to conduct assessments using the ABLLS/AFLS/VBMAPP
- Demonstrates skill in data collection
- Demonstrates ability to design individualized programs
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
- Full-time, permanent position, medical benefits and pension. Salary range is $70,062-$125,242, commensurate with education and experience as per negotiated contract.

- New Jersey Elementary Teacher Certification

- Have direct experience working with students with autism and complex learning needs in a self-contained or ABA-based setting
- Design and implement discrete trial instruction, task analysis, natural environment teaching, and behavior intervention plans with fidelity
- Collect, analyze, and respond to student data daily to drive instructional decisions and demonstrate measurable student progress
- Conduct and interpret formal and informal assessments including VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and other developmental and skill-based tools
- Collaborate closely with a BCBA to implement and monitor behavior plans and instructional programming
- Supervise and train paraprofessionals in ABA strategies, data collection, and consistent implementation of student programs
- Create structured classroom environments that support communication, independence, and behavioral regulation
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with families and interdisciplinary team members, including CST, related service providers, and administration
- Demonstrate the ability to manage complex student needs, including behavior, safety, and crisis situations, in accordance with district procedures
- Show initiative, flexibility, and problem-solving in a highly structured and team-based program
- Integrate communication systems including AAC, PECS, or other augmentative supports as appropriate
- Align instruction to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards while modifying access based on student need
- Knowledgeable about progress monitoring of goals and objectives, writing PLAAFPs, and overall IEP compliance
- Skilled in strategic instruction in the NJ Student Learning Standards
- Knowledge of multi-sensory instructional strategies (structured literacy certification is preferred)
- Must demonstrate independent initiative for professional growth
Salary : $70,062 - $125,242
