Position Overview: Ridgewood Public Schools is seeking a Special Education leave replacement teacher at George Washington Middle School. The ideal candidate will:
- Understand data-informed instructional practices and progress monitoring
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively co-plan and co-teach within an inclusive classroom setting
- Have knowledge of differentiated instruction, accommodations, and modifications to support diverse learners
- Demonstrated knowledge of inclusive special education practices and instructional supports
- Possess behavior management training and skills
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate independent initiative with his/her professional growth
- Effectively communicate with teachers, parents, and administrators both verbally and in writing
- Work collaboratively and have experience maintaining harmonious relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
- Full-time, permanent position, medical benefits and pension. Salary range is $70,062-$125,242, commensurate with education and experience as per negotiated contract.
- Start Date: August 26, 2026 and End Date: December 11, 2026. Plus 3 days of New Teacher Orientation in August.

- NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification
- NJ K-12 or 5-8 Content Certification required; English or Social Studies preferred
- Experience working with students with disabilities in both inclusion and resource settings in grades 6-8
