Dishwasher at RIDGE AND RAIL

Reports to: Kitchen Manager or Head Chef

Role Overview:

As a Dishwasher, you are essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness ensures our guests receive meals on sanitized plates and utensils, while supporting the overall operations of our kitchen and restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using the dishwashing machine and/or by hand.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish station, kitchen, and storage areas.
• Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are properly cleaned and returned to the appropriate location.
• Take out trash, clean garbage cans, and follow sanitation procedures.
• Assist with basic kitchen prep or cleaning tasks as directed by kitchen staff or chef.
• Monitor dish machine to ensure proper working order; report any maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety, food handling, and sanitation standards per Ohio Department of Health regulations.
• Restock clean dishes, glasses, and silverware for FOH and BOH use.
• Help with end-of-shift cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and deep cleaning tasks.
• Keep your availability updated in Homebase so scheduling can be done accurately without changes. All shift coverage must be approved by management in Homebase.
• Other duties as necessary.

Working Conditions:

• Hot, humid kitchen environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Requires standing for long periods and lifting/moving heavy items.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented setting with high cleanliness expectations
