Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing reservation systems like OpenTable when applicable
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns swiftly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering processes and food handling procedures, adhering to food safety standards
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to maintain a clean and efficient environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and order management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation, sanitation, and food safety regulations is highly desirable
- Previous host/host or serving experience preferred; basic math skills for cash handling are essential
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently and contribute to a lively hospitality atmosphere
