HR Operations Manager – Systems & Process
Location: Chandler, AZ
Reports To: Vice President of Human Resources
FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday in office; Friday remote
Position Summary
The HR Operations Manager is responsible for building and managing the systems, processes, and data that support HR operations across RideNow’s multi-location, multi-state footprint.
This role supports 30 retail locations across 12 states and is responsible for ensuring HR processes are executed consistently and efficiently across all locations. The HR Operations Manager will standardize workflows, align HR systems (including ADP and supporting platforms), and reduce manual work to support a scalable shared services HR model.
The goal of this role is to create a seamless and consistent HR experience across every location—eliminating variability, reducing risk, and enabling the business to scale. This role requires balancing speed and responsiveness with consistency and process discipline across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
HR Systems Management
- Serve as primary HR owner of ADP Workforce Now
- Align ADP with supporting systems, including leave management, recruiting/onboarding, and employee documentation
- Improve system structure, data integrity, and usability
Process Design & Standardization
- Develop and implement standardized workflows for:
- New hires
- Employee changes
- Terminations
- Leave intake and tracking
- Replace manual and email-driven processes with structured workflows
- Establish and maintain service level expectations (SLAs)
HR Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and consistent HR data across systems
- Standardize job architecture, job titles, and organizational structure
- Support reporting needs by ensuring data is clean and usable
Workflow & Automation
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve efficiency
- Implement workflow automation and streamline processes
- Reduce duplicate data entry across HR, Payroll, and Operations
Process Governance
- Ensure consistent application of HR processes across all locations
- Partner with HRBPs and leadership to reinforce adherence to standards
- Address process gaps and eliminate inconsistent practices
Shared Services Support
- Support the development of a centralized HR service delivery model
- Standardize processes to enable scalable HR operations
- Reduce reliance on location-specific practices
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with multi-state employment requirements
- Maintain audit-ready processes and documentation
- Identify and mitigate operational risks
Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Track key operational metrics, including turnaround time and accuracy
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Support continuous improvement across HR operations
HRIS & Systems Experience (Required)
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, including advanced use of modules such as Recruiting Management, Onboarding, and Time & Attendance (E-Time)
- Experience working within a multi-module HRIS environment with integrated workflows across recruiting, onboarding, and employee lifecycle events
- Demonstrated ability to configure, optimize, and troubleshoot HRIS modules—not just transact within them
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support HR operations, system optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in HR Operations, HRIS, or People Operations
- Strong experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS
- Experience improving or rebuilding HR processes and systems
- Multi-state, multi-location experience preferred (retail a plus)
- Strong organizational and process improvement skills
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Occasional standing, walking, and movement within office or retail locations
- Ability to travel occasionally to store locations as needed
- Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, etc.)
- Ability to travel occasionally to retail locations (estimated <10%) to support process implementation, training, and operational alignment
