Floating Maintenance Tech

Richman Property Services, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Floating Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Are you a community-inspired, passion-driven individual with a can-do attitude? If so, we want you on our growing team!

Position: Floating Maintenance Technician, full time 40 hours per week, includes weekend rotation

Location: Crescent Crossings and The Windward Apartments, Bridgeport, CT 06608, totaling 226 units between both properties

Key Requirements:

• EPA 608 type I & II or EPA Universal is a very strong requirement for this position, however if you do not have your EPA I & II (or Universal), but possess the skills, experience and drive, RPS may sponsor (and pay) for your EPA within your first 75-days of hire
• Ability to work independently in multi-site or larger properties, and within a Team environment
• Perform Porter duties for both Properties
• Valid/Active Driver's License (verified during background process)

What we Offer:

• Competitive base hourly pay, automatic hourly pay increases every quarter (every three months), after initial 90-days on the job.  Monthly personal cell phone allowance, federal mileage rate reimbursement when traveling outside of "home" property, and eligibility for annual discretionary bonus at year-end, should all personal and Company goals be met!
• Day time schedule, Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, one hour or 30-minute unpaid lunch breaks, and weekend rotation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
• Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
• Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
• Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
• Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
• Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
• Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development
• Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
• Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
• Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred

• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
• Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
• Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

• EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
• Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
