๐ย Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician 1 to join our team at Morgan Creek Apartments, a 360-unit multi-family residential community located at Bruce B Downs and I-75 in Tampa, FL. This role is ideal for a community-inspired, passion-driven individual with a can-do attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional service to residents.

- Competitive base hourly pay, $40.00/month personal cell phone allowance, and automatic quarterly pay increases every 3 months after the initial 90-day period
- Daytime schedule, MondayโFriday, 8:00amโ5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break; weekend rotation required

Responsibilities
- Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
- Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
- Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
- Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
- Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
- Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development
- Assist in property preventative maintenance planning
- Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
- Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; industry-related courses preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper roles at multi-family properties
- Proficiency in maintenance tasks including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, curb appeal, etc.
- Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Skills & Certifications:
- EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license strongly preferred. If you do not have your EPA but possess the right skills, experience, and drive, RPS may sponsor and pay for your EPA certification within your first 75 days
- Valid driver's license required (golf cart and on-call), verified during background check
- Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
