The Director of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the Rehabilitation Services Department which includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and sports medicine. The director has oversight responsibilities for all aspects of staff management, departmental management, and maintaining a professional practice environment that focuses on the customer. Administrative responsibilities include creation of an annual work plan for each area, budget preparation, performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition to the Administrative Responsibilities, the Director will function in patient care capacity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan, direct, and coordinate all Rehabilitation Services functions.
Develop long-range departmental plans aligned with hospital goals.
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and quality assurance.
Lead and engage staff in hospital mission and values.
Manage budgets, capital projects, and financial operations.
Promote a culture of safety and exceptional customer service.
Maintain staff competency through training, performance reviews, and education.
Serve as a liaison with senior management, medical, and nursing staff.
Participate in committees and task forces as needed.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited program in a related discipline (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, etc.).
Valid license/credential in discipline
BLS certification required
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
