About the Opportunity:
Seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation Senior
Associate. Must be able to handle matters from inception through
resolution with full file responsibility. The practice has substantial
existing work and offers a significant long-term leadership and
partnership opportunity, as retiring partners need to transition
established practices to younger attorneys.
Responsibilities:
- Defend medical malpractice cases from start to finish
- Assume full responsibility for assigned files and litigation strategy
- Manage discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, experts, and case
preparation
- Work directly with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, experts, and courts
- Prepare matters for trial and participate in trials as experience permits
- Manage a substantial caseload within a busy defense practice
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of medical malpractice defense litigation experience
(defense-side required; plaintiff-side backgrounds are not a fit)
- Experience managing cases from inception through resolution, full
file responsibility
- Trial experience preferred
- Strong research, writing, advocacy, and client-service skills
Some salary flexibility may be available for the right candidate with
additional relevant experience.
