Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery inside of the Paper/Corrugated or Plastic Packaging industries. This role offers opportunities for growth and development. Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with precision measurement tools, and familiarity with manufacturing equipment preferably in the Plastic or Paper/Corrugated Industry. Prior manufacturing experience is encouraged for this position, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various manufacturing machines including printing, converting, and die cutting machinery
- Set up machines using blueprints
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of equipment daily
- Conduct quality control checks with visual checks, as well as dimensional checks
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and work orders to ensure the correct job is running and correct set-ups are completed.
- Handle materials using forklifts or other warehouse equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in machine operation process by gathering raw materials, changing out inks, loading and unloading machinery with materials, and more
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Document production activities accurately and report any machine malfunctions or quality issues promptly.
Skills
- Proficiency with Machine Operation in a Plastic/Packaging or Paper/Corrugated environment including quality checks on finished goods.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools/Mechanical Aptitude
- Mechanical knowledge related to printing, corrugated equipment, and conveyors
- Familiarity with factory safety standards and quality control procedures in a manufacturing facility.
- Strong math skills including basic calculations necessary for machining tolerances.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and work orders to complete orders

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
