Job Description:
- This Hybrid position is for an experienced procurement professional within a Supply Chain function.
- Executes new program sourcing strategies while ensuring alignment with commodity strategies and best cost sourcing plans for sustainable supply chain development.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing plans to ensure the new product sourcing strategy is in alignment with desired program outcomes.
- Opportunities to develop skills in cross-functional leadership, solution-based negotiating, cost management activities, strategic commodity coordination, and execution of key customer critical program development activities.
- The New Product Introduction role will read across all aspects of supply chain competencies, providing an excellent proving ground for motivated individuals with interest in building a strong base within Client supply chain organizations.
- This individual will be expected to communicate to all levels of the organization, manage procurement activities through initial phases of product development (proposal & preliminary design) and validate new program business case proposals.
- Take new programs through the development life cycle while working in an Integrated Product Team structure.
- Integrate with Supply Management and leverage the Commodity Strategies to maximize the impact of new programs for cost reduction without compromise to quality.
- Directly interface with Senior Management within the business unit customers (Value Stream Leads, etc.) and serve as the link between the program and the supply chain organization.
- Drive compliance to procurement procedures within the working team in order to develop and execute standard work within the Procurement for development program.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate understanding of Global logistics including import/export requirements.
- Execution duties consist of large quote packages and bid analysis, PO placement and delivery assurance.
- SAP experience is essential and strong Excel skills are very beneficial in this role.
- Both will be used on a daily basis.
