Store Manager

Role Overview

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, inventory, merchandising, and customer service.

Ensures effective planning and implementation of processes such as ordering, receiving, stocking, and presentation.

Recruits, trains, evaluates, and develops employees, maintaining compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Monitors financial performance by analyzing sales, profitability, and expenses, and manages inventory levels and shrinkage.

Maintains a safe, clean, and organized store environment, overseeing opening and closing procedures.

Provides exceptional customer service and enforces safety and security standards.

Completes all required paperwork and documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures.
• Strong math skills, including calculations and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and retail operations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, counseling, and terminating staff with legal compliance.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred bilingual Spanish skills in some locations.
  
  

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Management experience in retail is advantageous.
  
  

Physical & Work Environment

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Handling merchandise and equipment regularly.
• Occasional climbing and travel for deposits or meetings.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise, occasionally outdoors.
