Equipment Design Engineer

Role Overview

This position involves working within a multidisciplinary team to introduce and implement equipment for new model production, utilizing 3D CAD and simulation tools to define design specifications. The individual will lead projects from inception to final design/assembly, focusing on characteristic improvements aligned with business and regional goals. Collaboration with design and manufacturing teams is essential to meet quality, cost, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of machine concepts for process changes based on engineering principles.
• Act as zone/process/project SME, supporting project leadership and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage projects independently, driving engineering solutions and process studies to assess machine capability.
• Create specifications, scope of work, and conduct onsite verification during installation.
• Lead group improvements in methods and procedures, mentor associates, and maintain project schedules.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Expertise in 3D CAD software, automated equipment development, and strong technical communication skills.
  
  

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with onsite support on manufacturing floors, with willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
