Traveling Underground Utility Laborer
We are seeking a dependable construction laborer to join our traveling crew installing underground plumbing systems and grease interceptors on commercial and industrial job sites throughout the United States.
This position requires travel. Our typical schedule is 3 weeks on the road followed by 1 week home.
Responsibilities
- Assist with underground plumbing and utility installation projects
- Install, remove, and replace commercial grease interceptors
- Perform excavation, trenching, site preparation, and backfilling
- Assist with underground piping installation and repairs
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials and equipment
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Work alongside experienced installation technicians and foremen
- Travel to job sites throughout the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction or underground utility experience
- Commercial plumbing or pipe installation experience
- Experience working around excavations or trenching
- Experience operating a skid steer, mini excavator, or similar equipment
- Ability to read a tape measure and use common construction tools
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record REQUIRED
- Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs
- Willingness to travel for extended periods (typically 3 weeks on, 1 week home)
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
