Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and individuals with disabilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and document patient care activities and changes in health status.
- Assist with catheter care and other personal hygiene needs as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients with memory care activities to promote cognitive engagement.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA compliance is essential.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and assisting clients as needed.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide/CNA
- Commitment to providing high-quality care while respecting client dignity and privacy.
- Must live near Scranton as a company car will be picked up daily from this location.
