Advanced Systems Engineer

Our client is looking for an Advanced Systems Engineer to join their team for a 12 month contract engagement in Dedham, MA. This role will be ON-SITE in the office.

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• Also requires 5 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• Agile experience preferred.

• Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Model-Based Systems Engineer for Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3), you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying the next generation of Strategic Weapon Systems using cutting-edge MBSE methodologies and digital engineering practices.

• Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including direct hands-on experience with industry-leading MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler ( Magicdraw as well ).
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain SysML models, including behavioral, structural, and requirements diagrams
• Experience applying MBSE to architect complex systems, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and trade study analysis
• Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards with an MBSE-first mindset
• Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS Next Generation) and their integration with system models
• Experience working within DoDAF or similar architecture frameworks to support digital engineering initiatives
• Creative thinker who can leverage MBSE models to quickly communicate complex system designs and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and champions MBSE adoption across cross-functional teams
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, particularly in advancing MBSE practices and digital engineering capabilities
• Identifies opportunities to apply MBSE and AI-driven approaches for contincnuous improvement and innovation
