What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer position at Revolution Search Group?
We're looking for a hands-on Industrial Engineer to own the flow of our manufacturing operation — from layout and workstation design to process improvement and cross-department coordination. What You'll DoProduction Flow & Optimization
- Synchronize production flow across departments to eliminate bottlenecks and keep things moving
- Evaluate and reorganize physical layout of production areas for maximum efficiency
- Build and refine processes that reduce waste and improve throughput
- Plan and support manufacturing projects from concept through implementation
Process Improvement & Standards
- Develop and roll out operational standards that stick
- Lead root cause analysis when issues arise and recommend actionable design or process changes
- Serve as a technical resource for the manufacturing team day-to-day
Workstation & Tooling Design
- Design workstations, fixtures, and tooling tailored to the task
- Support rollout of new equipment, layouts, and process changes on the floor
- Evaluate workstation ergonomics, safety, and efficiency — and make improvements where needed
Required
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering drawings and models
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines without dropping the ball on quality
- A safety-first mindset, always
- Sharp problem-solving skills, both independently and collaboratively
Preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel especially)
- Flexibility for occasional overtime when the floor needs it
- Comfort with applied math for verifying specs and job requirements
- Self-starter who doesn't need a lot of hand-holding
- Lean manufacturing, MRP, or ERP experience
- CAD modeling experience (AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field required. 2–5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
