Rough Carpenter / Framer (Commercial – Steel Stud)

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, and install cold-formed steel stud framing for commercial structures, including walls, partitions, soffits, and ceilings

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine framing layout and materials

• Measure, cut, and fasten steel studs, tracks, and related components using hand and power tools

• Install door and window frames, backing, and blocking per project requirements

• Ensure framing is plumb, level, square, and properly aligned

• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and other trades to maintain project schedules

• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies at all times

• Inspect materials and completed work to ensure quality and code compliance

• Perform light demolition, modifications, or re-framing as required

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite

• Assist with material handling, staging, and inventory as needed
