The Role.
Let’s make moves! We are looking for a Benefits Specialist to join the Revolution and create a meaningful and collaborative lending experience for our customers. As a Benefits Specialist at Revolution Mortgage, you will be responsible for administering all health and ancillary benefit programs and managing employee leaves of absence in compliance with federal, state, and company policies. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees seeking guidance on benefits, claims, and leave processes. The Benefits Specialist will coordinate closely with employees, managers, and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely administration of all programs. Responsibilities also include workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, and ongoing maintenance of the company’s 401(k) plan, including support for annual audits.
What you’ll be doing
Benefits Administration
- Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, and other ancillary benefit programs.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee benefit questions, claims assistance, and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate benefit records and ensure timely enrollment changes.
- Work closely with benefit brokers, carriers, and third party administrators.
- Support HR leadership in benefit renewals and process improvements.
Leave Administration
- Administer employee leaves of absence including FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, and company-specific leave policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws as well as internal procedures.
- Communicate leave status updates with employees and managers.
Workers’ Compensation & Unemployment
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claims from initial report to closure.
- Liaise with carriers, employees, and leadership on claim activity.
- Manage unemployment claims and documentation.
401(k) and Retirement Plans
- Administer the company’s retirement (401k) program.
- Support annual 401(k) audits and ensure compliance with plan requirements.
- Coordinate with plan vendors to resolve employee questions.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
What we are looking for
- Proven work experience as a benefits coordinator, benefits specialist, or relevant role
- Strong understanding of: Workers’ Compensation (WC), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Unemployment Compensation, Health insurance plans, 401(k) plan administration
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of labor laws (both federal and state) is preferred.
- Excellent time management, oral and written communication are required.
