Job Description:
For over 80 years, Reviva has set the standard for high-quality remanufactured diesel and gas engines. As the largest independently owned and operated engine remanufacturer in North America, our family-owned company is driven by a passion for excellence and a commitment to getting our customers back on the road quickly. We are looking for an Intake Tech to perform repetitive workstation operations to clean, detail and qualify experienced components using pressure washers and industrial washing machines. After engines are torn down they need to be cleaned and detailed before qualifying if they are usable parts to use in remanufacturing process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform detailing and buffing type functions to clean, and smooth engine components of dirt, paint, rust ect.
- Utilizes hand, impact, power tools and equipment.
- Follow all Standard Work instructions.
- Report to department supervisor and initiate action to prevent occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality system.
- Operate stationary or moving overhead hoists, baskets and carts.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines/equipment as required.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform other related operations required or directed. May work at different work stations as production needs require.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous hand and power tool experience preferred
- interested in engines or mechanical inclination
- Previous experience hitting production metrics
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to pay attention to detail
Physical Demands:
This job requires employees to stand for 8-10 hours while using hands, vision and arm strength. Employee must be able to walk, lift or move up to 70 pounds and must be able to torque, crimp and grasp. Work Environment:
The environment on the shop floor is usually loud, hot and humid in the summer months and involves standing on cement floors with exposure to chemicals and metal particles. Safety PEP provided.
Hours: 5am-3:30pm M-F
Tools: Pneumatic power tools including, die grinder, Drills, Sanders, Cutting Tools, Drive impacts. Electric power tools, die grinders, wire wheels, air ratchet, chisels Utility Air Hammer, Angle Die grinder, ect., scrapers, pliers, Locking Plier, basic hand tools, bench grinder, hammers ect.
