Summary:
The Coating Technician manages the final aesthetic and protective stages of product manufacturing. In this cross-functional role, you will be responsible for precise surface preparation and spray application while actively supporting the materials department through inventory movement and equipment handling, including the transport of heavy components like engines.
Responsibilities:
- Material Logistics: Safely move, stack, and transport heavy engine components and materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Surface Preparation: Perform critical prep work on finished engine assemblies, including thorough cleaning, degreasing, and masking to ensure high-quality adhesion.
- Precision Coating: Apply professional-grade primers, paints, and specialized coatings to remanufactured engines using industrial spray equipment to meet Reviva’s aesthetic and protective standards.
- Departmental Support: Maintain accurate inventory records and support diverse materials department tasks as needed to meet production goals.
- Safety & Excellence: Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards to ensure every component meets Reviva’s rigorous "Right the First Time" specifications.
- System Accuracy (BPCS):Record all material movements and transactions in the BPCS inventory computer system to ensure real-time data integrity.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately verify existing parts and efficiently pull new components based on production orders to support assembly schedules.
- Inventory Auditing: Conduct daily cycle counts and maintain the Kanban bin system to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent material shortages.
- Rigorous Quality Standards: Adhere to all safety protocols and quality systems to ensure every component meets Reviva’s "Right the First Time" specifications.
- Proactive Compliance: Initiate immediate action to prevent or resolve process non-conformities and report potential quality issues to the department supervisor.
- Workspace Stewardship: Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work environment in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Team Versatility: Adapt to production needs by cross-training at different workstations and performing other related operations as directed by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality finishing and prep work.
- Forklift Experience is a plus, must be willing to learn safe Forklift operations.
- Basic understanding of material handling and inventory control principles and practices.
- Reliable, and committed to a collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and cross-train in multiple production stages.
Work Environment/Physical demand:
This is a fast-paced and hands-on Warehouse in a manufacturing setting. This job requires employees to stand for 8-10 hours. The environment on the shop floor is usually loud, hot and humid in the summer months and involves standing on cement floors with exposure to chemicals and metal particles. PPE always required on manufacturing floor.
Shift:
1st Shift: 5am-1:30PM Monday - Friday. This Job may require daily, or weekend hours as needed.
