Job Responsibilities
- Assist in month end close process including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations in compliance with company policies and SOX requirements
- Assist with month end internal and external reporting
- Assist with annual physical inventory
- Assist with completing annual audit including interim testing throughout the year
- Prepare and file state sales tax returns as necessary and maintain records as required
- Enter and apply AR payments in Great Plains
- Complete US Census surveys as required
- Track CIP projects status and enter and maintain fixed asset listing
- Collect receipts and record monthly credit card activity
- Cross train on other duties within the department to provide additional assistance as needed and understanding for future transition to Accounting Manager
- Perform other duties as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
- 3-5 years accounting experience.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Great Plains is ideal
- Proficient with Outlook and Excel
