The Reunion Property Owner’s Association (POA) is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking Executive Director to lead the day-to-day operations of the Association while helping guide its continued growth, long-term planning, and community engagement.

The Position
The Executive Director serves as the chief operating officer of the Reunion POA and is responsible for the overall management, operations, and strategic direction of the Association. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role balances day-to-day operational leadership with long-term planning, financial stewardship, and community engagement.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust with residents, staff, and stakeholders.
While operational management is critical, the role extends beyond traditional administration to include strategic planning, capital improvement oversight, and enhancing the overall resident experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership
- Oversee all day-to-day POA operations, including administration, maintenance, and community services; this requires some weekend commitment
- Lead, manage, and develop staff; establish clear expectations and accountability
- Build and grow a true team-oriented staff
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery to residents
- Maintain strong visibility and presence within the community
Board Partnership & Governance
- Serve as a trusted advisor and “thought partner” to the Board of Directors
- Implement Board policies and provide guidance on best practices in governance
- Prepare and present reports, budgets, and recommendations
- Support and oversee committees and encourage resident involvement
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget
- Work hand in hand with financial committee to oversee financial reporting, reserves, and long-term financial planning
- Ensure fiscal responsibility, transparency, and sustainability
- Coordinate reserve studies and capital planning initiatives
Capital Planning & Infrastructure
- Lead long-term planning for infrastructure, amenities, and common areas based on the Association’s 30 year reserve study plan
- Oversee capital improvement projects and vendor coordination
- Ensure proper maintenance and preservation of community assets
Communication & Community Engagement
- Establish and maintain proactive, transparent communication with residents
- Oversee communication platforms including email, website, and resident portal
- Support community publications and updates (e.g., quarterly reports, Stroll magazine content)
- Foster a positive, community-first culture
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance expectations
- Negotiate contracts and ensure service quality and cost efficiency
LEADERSHIP
The Executive Director will play a key role in shaping Reunion’s future by:
- Supporting implementation of the POA’s strategic plan (2026–2030)
- Identifying opportunities to enhance amenities, operations, and resident experience
- Ensuring long-term sustainability of infrastructure and financial resources
- Strengthening communication, transparency, and community trust
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5 years of community association management or similar leadership experience
- Strong background in:
- Budgeting and financial management
- Reserve planning and capital projects
- Staff leadership and team development
- Vendor and contract management
- Experience working with Boards of Directors
- Knowledge of applicable state and local laws governing associations
