RETS Associates on behalf of our client is seeking a Senior Development Manager in Nashville, TN to lead the execution of retail, commercial, and mixed-use development projects from initial feasibility through project completion. This role will oversee all phases of development while partnering with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and public agencies to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
The Senior Development Manager will be responsible for project planning, financial modeling, budgeting, due diligence, design coordination, permitting, construction oversight, and stakeholder management. This individual will lead cross-functional teams, monitor project performance, manage project risks, and ensure compliance with zoning, environmental, and building requirements while providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field required
- MBA or Master's degree preferred
- 7โ10 years of real estate development or project management experience
- Proven experience managing development projects from acquisition through completion
- Strong financial analysis, pro forma modeling, and budgeting skills
- Knowledge of zoning, entitlements, permitting, and construction management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, Excel, MRI, Bluebeam Review, AutoCAD, or similar software
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- PMP, LEED, or similar certifications are a plus
