RETS Associates on behalf of our client is seeking a Senior Associate - Underwriting & Due Diligence in Atlanta, GA. This role supports acquisitions, developments, and redevelopments by leading financial underwriting, due diligence, and investment analysis for an institutional retail real estate portfolio. The position offers a hybrid schedule following the training period.
The Sr. Associate will prepare financial models and investment committee materials, oversee due diligence for new investments, support forecasting and project analysis, evaluate tenant financial performance, and supervise a team of financial analysts while partnering with acquisitions, development, leasing, and executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 6 years of experience underwriting retail real estate acquisitions, developments, or redevelopments
- Advanced financial modeling skills using Excel and ARGUS
- Experience preparing investment committee presentations and underwriting analyses
- Strong due diligence experience, including lease review, contracts, title, environmental, zoning, and entitlements
- Understanding of real estate financial metrics and investment returns
- Ability to review and interpret leases, purchase agreements, and joint venture documents
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence software preferred
- Previous leadership or team management experience preferred
- MBA or other postgraduate degree preferred
