The Restaurant Controller will lead the accounting and financial reporting function for a growing, multi-unit restaurant platform. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable accounting processes to support ongoing growth. The ideal candidate has experience within multi-unit or restaurant environments and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
- Prepare and review consolidated financial reports across multiple entities and concepts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships
- Partner with operations and leadership to analyze financial performance, margins, and unit-level profitability
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across concepts and regions
- Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and work with outside accounting partners
- Develop, document, and scale accounting policies and procedures
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
- Experience in multi-unit restaurants, hospitality, retail, or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity accounting structures
- Experience with ERP systems and POS-driven accounting environments
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization

Salary : $100,000 - $160,000
