About the Role:
As a Medical Records Specialist at Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island, you will be responsible for:
Completing the responsibility of ensuring patient medical records are up-to-date, complete, and compliant with regulations
Following up with doctors' offices and medical directors to ensure we have a copy of all physician orders
Preparing medical record requests in a timely manner
Scanning all necessary hard copy medical records into the electronic medical record
Accompanying residents on doctor's appointments and providing patient transport as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma required
Experience in medical records preferably in a Long-Term Care facility
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Full-time position with flexible scheduling
