About the Role:
As a Medical Records Specialist at Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island, you will be responsible for:
- Completing the responsibility of ensuring patient medical records are up-to-date, complete, and compliant with regulations
- Following up with doctors' offices and medical directors to ensure we have a copy of all physician orders
- Preparing medical record requests in a timely manner
- Scanning all necessary hard copy medical records into the electronic medical record
- Accompanying residents on doctor's appointments and providing patient transport as needed
- High school diploma required
- Experience in medical records preferably in a Long-Term Care facility
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Full-time position with flexible scheduling
