About the role
This is a project engineering role focused on structural steel within large-scale infrastructure projects.
You’ll play a key role in coordinating design, procurement, and construction activities—ensuring projects are executable, on schedule, and aligned with cost expectations.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate contract, design, and shop drawings to ensure constructability
- Interface with fabricators, subcontractors, and owners to resolve design and procurement issues
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to develop means & methods
- Support cost tracking, forecasting, and project financial visibility
- Drive alignment across engineering and field teams to ensure smooth execution
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent from accredited institution
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in structural steel erection, heavy civil construction, bridge, vertical construction, or other steel structures
- Experience actively interfacing with fabricators, subcontractors, & owners to resolve design issues, procurement issues, and constructability issues
- Coordination of contract drawings, design drawings, and shop drawings to facilitate an erectable final structure
- Experience actively interface with design engineers & construction engineers to develop thorough "means & methods" process
- Accurately realize "to-date" costs and project "final" costs thru completion
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Word/Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal skills
