What You’ll Do
- Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and month-end/year-end close.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis reports.
- Monitor profitability by client, project, and department to support business strategy.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital planning.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control standards.
- Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and operational processes for scalability and efficiency.
- Supervise accounting staff and collaborate cross-functionally with leadership teams.
- Coordinate with external CPA firms, auditors, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
- Strong experience in marketing agencies, professional services, or project-based businesses preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- CPA preferred but not required.
