Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with hotel standards
- Identify areas needing improvement and communicate effectively with housekeeping staff to address deficiencies promptly
- Monitor floor care procedures, including carpet cleaning, tile maintenance, and surface polishing, to maintain pristine conditions
- Verify that janitorial supplies and equipment are used correctly and maintained properly for optimal performance
- Document inspection results meticulously, prepare reports on cleanliness standards, and track ongoing issues for resolution
- Collaborate with housekeeping management to develop training programs aimed at elevating cleaning quality and efficiency
- Clean a full board of rooms 3 out of 5 shifts
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations related to industrial cleaning and custodial practices
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within a hospitality or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation
- Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality is highly desirable
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness issues quickly and accurately
- Effective communication skills for training staff and reporting inspection findings
- Leadership skills in housekeeper management or supervisory roles are a plus
