Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Breakfast Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast items, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and providing exceptional guest service. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring a smooth breakfast service experience. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or related fields is preferred but not required. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, attention to food safety, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast items according to established recipes and standards
- Set up breakfast buffet or station, ensuring presentation is appealing and ingredients are stocked
- Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking and meal assembly
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and service stations by cleaning tables, utensils, and surfaces
- Manage food handling responsibilities following safety protocols to ensure guest safety
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cashiering duties
- Buss tables promptly to maintain a tidy environment for guests
- Provide friendly guest services by greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing special dietary needs
- Assist with catering or banquet setups as needed
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper sanitation procedures at all times
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality preferred (e.g., restaurant experience, banquet experience, hotel experience)
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cashiering experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette for guest interactions
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knife skills and food handling expertise are advantageous
- Experience with coffee brewing or barista duties is beneficial
- Knowledge of dietary accommodations and guest relations is desirable
