We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Record and process journal entries accurately within our core banking software.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify the integrity of financial data.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and proper deductions.
- Prepare financial reports, including monthly statements, budgets, and other documentation aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Support governmental accounting requirements and non-profit accounting practices as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of debits & credits, journal entries, and account activity for audit readiness.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing requested documentation and explanations of account activity.
Requirements
- Accounting experience within the banking industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of banking accounting principles, GAAP standards, and double-entry bookkeeping methods.
- Demonstrated ability in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry (10 key typing skills preferred).
- Ability to interpret financial reports and write clear financial summaries.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9 – 12 per week
